Young Nudy & Pi’erre Bourne - Sli’merre 2 (Album)

“Sli’merre 2” dropped November 13th and continues Pierre Bourne and Young Nudy’s collaborative efforts in familiar style. The album’s release was preceded by two singles; ‘Get Fu*ked up’ and ‘Right Now’, both within the release week of the project. Alongside Pierre’s production, BabyDrill is the only feature on the project, as well as a guest on his upcoming tour for the project.

Admittedly, it’s always fun to get new music from Nudy, but for me this project leaves a little to be desired. The beats aren't as fun or memorable as some of Nudy and Pierre’s other work, and Nudy doesn’t seem to be progressing creatively – not that he needs to. However the formula is familiar and brings nothing with it but novelty.

That’s not to say there aren’t hits here. ‘Right Now’ and ‘How It Be’ end the project fantastically and BabyDrill’s feature on ‘Save Myself’ is a standout moment. But tracks like ‘Loaded’ and ‘Money’ feel low in effort in comparison.

Along with the upcoming tour and merch, “Sli’merre 2” dropped following a music video for ‘Right Now’ which was in theme and paired well with the song.
