Jazzy Tha Rapper - HTDF (Review)
The leader of Atlanta’s Big Booty Bash, Jazzy Tha Rapper is back. Fresh off of “In The Mirror”, her big disco feature with Naoma, Jazzy’s new drop with Ghettopop (Atlanta artist DvDx’s producer tag) is a perfect pop hit literally made for the dance floor. By fusing bass and “ghetto tech” with a classic hip hop sound, she gave us something fun for the club. The production is reminiscent of 2000’s Missy Elliott, who Jazzy credits as one of her biggest music influences. With already amassing over 100K on Twitter, 200K views on Instagram, and even getting a head nod from pop star Kelis, this song is a sure hit!
When asked about the inspiration behind the making of this high-energy track, Jazzy shared this:
“”HTDF” came from a simple feeling: The world needs a reason to dance again. Club culture is in a weird place right now; people aren’t going out to dance like they used to. Everyone’s on their phone, disconnected, and carrying the stress of everyday life. And honestly, who can blame them? Things feel heavy and uncertain right now. However, “HTDF” is meant to be an escape from all that. For one night, you can put everything down, let go and just dance.”
2026 looks like a promising year for underground Atlanta music and Jazzy is one artist that I’ve personally seen grow with her sound & style. With over 7+ years of nonstop grinding, Jazzy Tha Rapper has made herself into a triple treat: rapper, dancer and model. Always bouncing between giving us bars and giving us something to throw our back out to, she clearly never disappoints.
Not to brag, but I was also given a first listen to an upcoming project that “HTDF” is included in and I will say, it will be rolling in perfect timing for the Atlanta heat that we are set to experience in the coming months. Hold that DJs, Jazzy has something straight for all of the dance floors!
While we wait, check out the official music video for “HTDF” here and stream Jazzy Tha Rapper on all major streaming platforms.
