The question has never been “can he rap?” with Joey Badass. But even though through songwriting and acting the man has kind of transcended hip-hop, he still raps like he has to show and prove. This joint here is smooth as hell. You can feel every bar. The second verse about XXXtentacion was touching as well. This whole record just one of them songs that you can’t just hear, you have to listen to it. The pain is just bleeding through this one despite the tough presentation, the hallmark of true rap.
