BTG Blue - Bluezzz (EP)

BTG Blue is an rapper that’s coming up and making waves as part of the New Bedford rap collective Bag Talk Gang. I’ve heard of BTG and checked out some drops from individual members like Buckz & Pasto but this EP really caught my ear when I heard Blue flip the same Dido sample that shot Eminem’s “Stan” to legendary status on his record “$till Not Safe”. The loop immediately filled me with a sense of nostalgia while also properly displaying the pain that comes with street life. It’s like if “Who I Smoke” were played straight and narrow. The rest of the records fare pretty well. At only 4 tracks, there’s no filler and there isn’t a bad joint here. Check out this new project up above and let us know what you think!
