Flozigg Sings to Unblur the Lines with “More Than A Luva”
We can never get too many of these kinds of songs. The “whoah, slow down, baby” songs set to make you groove through the pain, whichever end of that conversation we’re on.
“More Than A Luva” keeps it funky while saying the vibe is right but only for right now. Communication is important. Flozigg does it through song.
‘I don’t want to string you along, that’s why I start singing this song’ says it all. I’m a sucker for this lane of sound too. Someone slide this across KAYTRANADA’s desk and call up Smino and/or Ari Lennox for the remix.
But more about what’s in front of us: If a woman slid this my way, I wouldn’t even be mad.
1. That’s A1 taste to have this cross your radar.
2. Flozigg sends the message honestly and with wonderful vocal tones.
3. I’ve been there before, both sides, so message received loud and clear.
That bass line riding the beat from start to finish is like aroma lines trailing from your food as it’s approaching the table. And the way Flozigg works with it is the subtle yet evocative touch that can turn a song to a hit. “Compliments to the chefs” worthy ‘cus they cooked there (the chefs being Flozigg, Mango & Icee Red, along with added seasonings from Isaiah Falls). And slipping in a cheeky “BRIDGE” right before the bridge comes in always makes me feel like the recipes are in good hands.
“For the ones who feel deeply but move freely” is the tagline in the caption of his IG post thanking those involved. With this being the second single in as many weeks, maybe it’s time to add Flozigg to the rotation as there’s probably more to come sooner than later.
