Chiiild - Hope For Sale (Album)

Montreal artist Chiiild has blessed us with his debut album, Hope For Sale, which was released July 23. The 11-song project clocks in at just over thirty minutes and has two features from Mahalia and Jensen McRae.

Fans have been waiting on this since he dropped the amazing EP, Synthetic Soul last year. “Pirouette” was one of the best songs of last year and showed his range and talent on this project.

Synthetic Soul was his lone release in 2020 and had us hyped on what was coming up next. Safe to say, Chiiild delivered with Hope For Sale.

They've released five singles this year prior to the release, “Sleepwalking”, “Eventually”, “Awake”, and the standout cut “Gone” which has a remix with singer Jensen McRae.

Chiiild is one of the new leaders of the new R&B/Soul sound and Hope For Sale stamps them as a main attraction in the new landscape of Soul Music. The way the music bends genres while also keeping the signature sound that we love is something that should be praised.

This is easily one of my favorite albums of this year, in any genre. Along with the new release, he's going on “The Apocalyptic Optimistic Tour” starting in Chicago on August 1st.

Chiiild is a true artist and songwriter in every sense and deserves to be celebrated with this release. Stream the album and check him out if he comes to your city.
