Kooldini - Soulful (Official Video)

Coming up on the year anniversary of Kooldini’s (FKA Pretty Kartier) last release, “Iceberg Lounge” (EP), she’s back with a new single and music video to kick off her new era. Kooldini’s first offering of 2025 is adequately named. “Soulful”, is exactly that. 

It serves as a great introduction to Kooldini’s sound, if you’re not familiar. It’s something to ride to, something to vibe to, something you can play around the men & the women and get a great response. While her rapping ability is unquestionable, about halfway through, the record slows down, and Kooldini flexes her singing ability a bit, as well. This breakdown is then followed by the beat picking back up and Kooldini instantly snapping back into that mode and it’s my favorite part. 

The music video seamlessly flashes through Kooldini at different locations. From a studio shoot, to standing outside a luxury car, to the streets of New York. It being shot completely in black and white adds to the allure. As a multi-hyphenate creative, Kooldini also owns her own clothing brand: Orange Karti. In every single shot, you can spot Kooldini sporting something from her own brand—whether it be a leather jacket, hat, t shirt, hoodie, or racing gloves. Fashion and Hip-Hop go hand in hand and it’s always dope seeing the two worlds intersect; especially, when they’re both at the hands of your own.

Kooldini brings a special kind of sound to the Atlanta music scene. Specializing in smooth, lifestyle raps, mixed with her southern flair, and as a woman, she occupies a necessary space. Stay tuned as this is just the beginning.
