Mac Miller - Faces (Mixtape)
What can be said about the late, great Mac Miller that hasn’t already been said. His druggy, existential, introspective rhymes float over a myriad of different beat styles especially as he got more and more into producing himself as Larry Fisherman. He truly was a once in a generation type of talent and was taken from this world far too soon. So rest in peace to Malcolm McCormick. This is his 2014 mixtape, Faces, which was the final Mac Miller mixtape he would release and served as a followup to his sophomore album Watching Movies With The Sound Off. As such, it dives a bit more into his drugged out psyche with features from hard hitting spitters like Earl Sweatshirt, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, Sir Michael Rocks, Da$h, Vince Staples, Rick Ross and Mike Jones (who?). As it has made its way to streaming services, now is as good a time as ever to revisit this joint. Tune into Faces up above.
For more Mac Miller as long as his estate continues to give us more, keep it locked to TDN, forever.
