Beyoncé - Cowboy Carter (Album)

And she’s off to the races.

Beyoncé delivers the continuation to this era she’s in and pulls the curtain back further with Act II: “Cowboy Carter”. Coming off the critical success of “Renaissance” and its multiple GRAMMY wins, Ms. Carter picks up a different sound with “Cowboy Carter”. Much more acoustic folk/country vibes all over this one. And many, many, many, emotions; Leading to vulnerable moments that make you reflect as she unpacks a satchel of thoughtful expression.

There are also displays of upbeat carefree vocals over soundscapes that ask you to jig your way to its finish. The singles “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” were great tone-setters for what to expect. But we also were hit with some sounds that land somewhere between both of them. Either way, she’s clearly having fun exploring the world, herself, her artistry, and her family’s evolution with the music she’s making.
