Da Kidd Half - Going For Gold 3 (EP)

East Chain’s Da Kidd Half has been one of my favorite Atlanta rappers over the past few years and I mean that. His delivery reminds me of No Ceilings-era Lil Wayne and every know and then his punchlines do too. He’s clearly aware of this and wore it on his sleeve with last year’s HotBoyHalf project, a personal favorite of mine. Wayne influences aside, he has a sound that’s wholly Atlanta and that really shined through East Chain’s Camp East compilation this past Summer, where he stole the show on pretty much every record he featured on. Now he’s back with the third installment in his Going For Gold EP series. This appears to be something to just hold us over until his next full length project, presumably an album.
