The Year of Brent
Brent Faiyaz has just dropped three random singles on his twitter account as a dropbox file titled “DO NOT LISTEN.”
These new singles are: “Circles”, “Price of Fame” and “Paper Solider”, as well as the visuals for “Circles” on his YouTube account which he titled “DO NOT WATCH.”
In an interview with Vouge last week, the independent artist spoke about his upcoming album “Make It Out Alive” and how he is in the, “early recording process”. He also says he will be releasing a single that is set to come out during Women’s month this year.

At the end of “Paper Solider” a voicemail from what sounds like a fan can be heard chastising him for not releasing music fast enough and urging him to drop the album ASAP.
Is 2021 the year of Brent? The R&B version of Future seems to slowly be making his rise on to the scene by starting off the new year with his single, “Gravity”, featuring Tyler, The Creator back in January while still maintaining his sultry independence.
I wonder what else he has in store? What a great way to start Black History month.
