J. Cole - The Off-Season (Album)

J. Cole really just be popping up when he feels like it then crawling back under his rock. You’ve got to respect the man for that, if nothing else. While staying out of the spotlight would work to the detriment of most artists, J. Cole has built his brand around taking seasons off. This is a man who likes to stay down to earth and live a relatively lowkey life when he’s not promoting a project. That is exactly how he’s managed to continue to provide thought-provoking content relatable to the everyman a decade after his debut album. He’s been teasing his “final” album The Fall Off for years now since 2018’s KOD which even included the song “1985 (Intro to “The Fall Off”)". It’s been three years since, and here he is dropping off a completely different project in The Off-Season. Judging by the “i n t e r l u d e” single, the project’s accompanying documentary, and his recent L.A. Leakers freestyle, he seems to be coming with a lot of hunger this time around.

Check out The Off-Season above. For more J. Cole, keep it locked to TDN, forever.

With love, Bento
