Trippie Redd - Trip At Knight (Album)
Despite all of the success he’s seen and the 4 years in the industry under his belt, Trippie Redd still somehow feels like an underdog. I’ve always enjoyed his music. His artistry is respectable, his ear for beats its incredible, and his versatility is certainly commendable. But for some reason he doesn’t have the same kind of household name I expected he’d have become by now. That could all change with this album, especially when you take the features into account. Trippie was rumored to have gotten the coveted Drake feature early in his career and as the story goes, he simply didn’t get his verse done in time. That record went on to become God’s Plan, one of Drake’s biggest hits to date if not his biggest. It was about to finally come full circle and the two were rumored to finally be collaborating on this record. We’ll see if he actually pops up. Regardless, the preceding singles have been features with Lil Uzi Vert (whom he was often compared to & rumored to have a slight beef with ipon his introduction) & Playboi Carti. Throw in Ski Mask the Slump God, Polo G, Lil Durk, SoFaygo, Babyface Ray, Sada Baby & Icewear Vezzo and you have a respectable supporting cast. Even his late friends Juice WRLD & XXXtentacion make guest appearances to round out the emo holy trinity that always existed in my head. This one is definitely a trip. Check out Trip at Knight above.
