EARTHGANG - Perfect Fantasy (Album)

Hopefully you’ve been paying attention to Dreamville’s amazing duo, EARTHGANG, and if you haven’t then here’s a nice chance to catch up.

“PERFECT FANTASY” is a concept they’ve been working with this year as they’ve released EP’s leading up to this with some of the songs you’ll hear on this. I’ll never get tired of hearing “BLACKLIGHT” so I truly am not mad. And “OSMOSIS” just awakens waves inside your heart. It’s hard not to play this album front to back and want to vibe with some strobe lights going.

I have to highlight this T-Pain feature on “LOVE YOU MORE” as we can’t bypass a Tallahassee Pain contribution in 2024. And another noteworthy song is “RED FLAG”; a song about feelings we can resonate with. Overall, this album has zero skips, MAYBE one or two.

I will say, terrible sequencing choice to start off. Move the intro song (which isn’t a bad one) somewhere in the middle and lead off with the beautiful “DEEP BLUE” ft Little Dragon. I’m sure there were reasons but we all have our preferences.

“PERFECT FANTASY” is an album that has easily found place in my daily rotation so shout out to them for crafting this piece of work together.
