MoneyBagg Yo- Gangsta’s Pain (Album)

Memphis artists are killing it this year. MoneyBagg Yo just delivered a damn near flawless project with features from Kaash Paige, Future, Big30, Tripstar, Polo G, Lil Durk, Jhené Aiko, and Pharrell Williams. Whew. That line-up in itself is just, yes. Typically I feel intimidated when seeing a project with more than 14 tracks, but this 22 track album kept me engaged the entire time, which for me, is rare. With dope samples, exquisite bars, and even better features, catch me playing “A Gangsta’s Pain” on repeat.

My favorite record on this album is without a doubt “Wockesha.” MoneyBagg sampled Ashanti’s “Foolish” for this record and gives us some insight into his personal life and experiences. Tap in!
