What would rap be if Pop Smoke were still alive? I mean, without even being here his debut album saw record breaking chart success with damn near a new single being pushed from it every month. It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since it took over the Summer. And now his team has put together another posthumous effort from the late great (sans 50 Cent). Due to 2020 being what it was, Pop Smoke didn’t have too much competition last time but 2021 has been a great year for rap releases so far. Both J. Cole & Tyler the Creator have dropped landmark projects in their respective discographies. Will Pop Smoke be able to join that conversation posthumously?
