DMX - Exodus (Album)
Gone way too soon. While he may be remembered more fondly for his singles, DMX in album form is legendary. The man’s first 2 albums went #1 in the same year. Not only that but his first five albums all went to number 1 (a record he held until J. Cole broke it this past week with The Off-Season). So needless to say, when DMX first teased this album on Drink Champs, I couldn’t help but get excited. We all know the underdog story of DMX, especially the last few chapters. It was so great to see him come back into the spotlight, which made his untimely passing all the more saddening. Since then I couldn’t help but remember him mentioning a posthumous collaboration with Brooklyn’s Pop Smoke was set to release on the project. Sadly, the highly anticipated collaboration with the late Woo fails to appear here. But with a robust list of features including Jay Z, Nas, The Lox, and more, I can hardly call myself dissatisfied. Check out DMX’s posthumous album (it doesn’t even feel right typing that) above.
For more DMX, keep it locked to TDN, forever.
With love, Bento
